About Nuka Hiva Trading Company
I have been trading in kava and other Pacific commodities since 1965.  Nuka Hiva Trading Company was formed in 1991 and incorporated in 1998.

We are often asked about our name. Nuka Hiva is a wildly beautiful island in the Marquesas. Herman Melville based his novel Typee there and the painter Gauguin also spent time there.   I've also spent time on Nuka Hiva, and I enjoy Herman Melville; hence our company name.
